Working with Tables

Earthlytics tables present raw data to the user in readable form and may be exported for further use. Raw data displayed in Earthlytics tables usually forms the building blocks of other metrics on the app.

Sorting and Searching Capability

Earthlytics tables have sorting and search capability. Searching in tables involves checking for a user's specific search present in any of the table columns. Only the rows with some element matching a user's search will be displayed. No Enter click is necessary for the search - search will be triggered automatically as a user is typing.

Sorting in Earthlytics tables requires the use to click on column headers, clearly displayed at the top of a given table. Designated sorting column headers will appear green and the current order of the sort will appear above the table, to the right side of the screen.

Click column headers to reverse the direction of sort or to change which column you are sorting by. Combined sorting and searching allows users the ability to discover the range of data, or look at particular components only.

CSV Download

Raw data export is another valuable tool present with Earthlytics tables. Simply click the download arrow at the top right corner of the screen to download a CSV (Comma Separated Values) file of the data present in the table. A pop-up will be displayed when each download is started and when each download completes. Downloading large CSV files may take a few seconds, but navigating to other pages during download is completely acceptable.
